"Free from Immigration Control"...?

Hi,

I was wondering when an individual can be classed as "Free from Immigration Control"..

Is it when the individual has gained a specific status (ILR/Citizenship) or a combination of the status and a requirement to have been resident in the country for a specific number of years?

Any info would be much appreciated..

can u please explain this question i think if ur husband get ilr hes free then
and wife cannot kick him out from this country unless he comited a series crime

Khan, I don't want to "kick him out".. Your post sounds like your assuming I do..!!

I merely asked when he would no longer be under Immigration Control.
There are a few forms, (Child Tax Credit for one) that ask whether you or your partner are under immigration control. I wanted to know when my husband could answer no to that question..

Just to make clear...a wife (or husband) can't 'kick their spouse out' of the UK whether they have ILR or not. This is purely down to the decision of the UKBA.
