Query regarding self-assessment form

Post by rupeshmg » Thu Jun 03, 2010 9:09 am

Hi All,

I have a query regarding Section 7.1 for Self-Assessment form

7.1 Calculate the amount of funds required for you and >>>>
the dependants named in the Personal Details part of this
application form and enter the amount here

--> whether it should be GBP 2800 or INR XXXX (I am single applicant & dont have any dependent)

As well Is it mandatory to attach Oanda Currency converter rate for maitainance of funds, As I will be going to VFS office early in the mornig & Guidance says, conversion rate must be of the date of application.

Regards

You can mention both. It can be said as inr xxxxx and equivalent 2800 gbp. Also you can provide a copy of days's exchange rate as per Onada.

Typically the maintenance fund letter can be taken up-to one month prior to the date of application (Check the new guidelines ). You can request the bank to put the equivalent amount in GBP and the exchange rate will be put up by bank themselves.
