Congratulations to you on successfully receiving your Tier-1 (G) Visa.

I am also planning to apply for my Tier-1 (G) in the next few months. I am planning to show my income proof based on my salaried job and self-employment as a sole trader.

Would you know what documents I need to show as a Sel-Employed Sole Trader?

I am doing some web designing/maintenance work for a company. At present I sent them a monthly invoice and they pay me directly to my bank account. I have registered myself as self-employed with HMRC and paid NI contribution. I guess that can be one proof along with an accountant's letter.

What other documents would I need to show?

Thanks

Previous Earnings Docs - Full Time Employee + Freelance work

Post by Sudipta BM » Tue Jul 06, 2010 8:25 pm

Hi Everyone,

I am planning to apply for my Tier 1 (General) visa sometime next week from india.

One clarification I needed is:

Previous Earnings:
- am working full time in a company and am going to show all the proofs like payslip/bank statement as supporting documents under this section.

- apart from this I am a designer by profession, so I work on some freelance project sometimes on my own. Can I claim the money I earn from it? I have the work order from the person/company whom I worked for and I can add in bank statement also.
Do I need a CA letter? If yes, what all details should it have?
Whats a sole trader? I have not registered myself anywhere?

Please help..advice. Thanks a lot in advance.

congradulations. I also have some self-employed income. But I asked an umbrella company to do the income tax for me and they pay me net and issue payslips. Do you think for me the payslip and bank statement is enough?
