Sponsor question

Post by fpvt2 » Mon Jun 07, 2004 1:57 pm

On Form FLR(O) it states if you have completed section 5, to show evidence that you have the funds to maintain and accomodate you and your dependents without recourse to public funds.

If one has been working in UK for the past 4 months using a work permit, and the net monthly income is approximately 2100 GBP, is it enough if one simply submit the last 3 months of wage slips, or does one still need to have a sponsor (a relative sponsor) that say that they will pay for your expenses? Thank you.

Your payslips should suffice given your considerable income although there is no objection to you having a sponsor if one is willing to further support you. However the Home Office always prefer that the applicant maintain and accomodate him/her self and any dependents with his/her own funds.

Thank you Kayalami.
May I ask another question? Somebody suggested to also submit the last 3 months bank statement. If the bank account balance is only around 2000 GBP, is it ok ? (He has only been working for the last 4 months, but he and his dependents always live within their mean, and they never use any public fund.)
Note: He is completing Form FLR(0) to get a permit free training visa for a job that does not need a work permit, and this new job will pay him a little bit more money than the job he has right now. Thanks once again.

Not a problem/ very o.k. :)

He should include the other supporting documentation as stated on the form in relation to the 'permit free' employment.

Thank you Kayalami. I will tell him that he can submit his 3 months wage slip (net 2100 GBP monthly) and 3 months bank statement (bank account balance around 2000 GBP), and he does not need a sponsor. He will include other supporting documentation as stated on the form in relation to the 'permit free'. Thanks a lot for your help.
