EEU Son,s passport could help for EEA2 application

My son got EEU Passport. And we got his UK birth Certificate.
With my EEA2 application, Shall I send his passport or only birth certificate? IN EEA2 application they did not mention about it, and we do not need RC for him, because of he is EEU national and born in UK.
Will his passport will help my EEA2 application.
Actually my wife and son want to go out of UK in October. And son need passport.
PLZ suggest me?
