B2 Visa - Tourist Visit

Guys...

I am Indian, am on Tier 1 Visa Valid till June 2012.
I am permanent employee and have bank funds more than 4000 for almost 6 months

I am planning to visit US for a Tourist visit this october. could you please advise me on what documents should be submitted..

By the way, you should not buy your ticket until you have got the passport back with the visa in it.

the two most important things are availability of funds and ties to home country. it seems you have the funds. so in terms of ties to home country i think first you can show an employment letter to show that you shall leave the USA. but also if you can show ties to your home country where you are from like ownership of land, property, have family or business commitments etc.

and with the american embassy it's all about how you present yourself so you need to prepare yourself for the interview and be confident and have supporting docs for it. there's a very helpful sight called path2usa.com which has alot of help with letting applicants know what kind of supporting docs are being looked for. wish you all the best.

Dear Firends,

Can any of you help me with the EMployee Letter Format for US B2 visa.
I need this in support to prove the ties with UK where i am employed.

"To whom it may concern:

Re: [your name]

This is to certify that Mr [your name] has been working for [company name] as a full time [your position name] since [date you started working]. The position is permanent."

Make sure the letter is dated.

PS it would be good if the letter also stated your date of birth, e.g. at the beginning saying

"Re: [your name] DOB: [your date of birth]"

One of the most common reasons for the denial of an application for a us visitor visa is the failure of the applicant to prove that he has no intention of abandoning his country of origin.

Under Section 214(b) of the US Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), there is a legal presumption that all applicants for US visasintend to acquire an immigrantstatus upon entry in the US.

With above presumption, the applicant has the burden of proving otherwise by presenting evidences showing his strong ties to his country of origin.

Hi All

My husband is Pakistani and we married there in 2009.

Once he has his UK visa he will be joining me here.

We've not had a honeymoon yet & I have my heart set on Las Vegas next May or June.

I can use the visa waiver programme but with him being Pakistani he is not eligable and will have to apply for a visa.

However he doesn't yet have a job so can anybody tell me if the US embassy would take my finances into account for the funds needed?

If I can apply US tourist visa with sponsor documents how many months of bank statements does he/she need to provide?
what are the other docs which will be required from him/her to get the visa?
