ILR Date on Application should be blank for those from EEA?

Post by johnvfc » Fri Aug 27, 2010 10:43 am

Hello,

This is a question with regard to the Section 1.3 in Application Form. I am EEA national and I would like to ask if someone else applied as EEA.

Based on what I understood from the guide, if someone from EEA has entered UK in 1st Sep 2004, then you get automatically permanent residence after 5 years, that is to say on 1st Sep 2009. You do not need to apply for ILR.

I thought I had to fill in this date (1st Setp 2009) on section 1.3.
However I called the home office help line (0845 01 05 200) and they told me to leave this field (1.3) blank and write the reason in page 14 (Further Information).

Has anyone else had the same experience?
Do you think I should leave the field blank?

Thank you

I had the same problem. I left it blank and it was OK.
