One more thing to add, the passport does not appear to be the new version that was supposed to come out in October.

I thought all passport issued from october will be the new format. Maybe IPS is not ready yet. Just applied via C & S last week, still waiting for interview/original docs

Not everyone will have the new version passport from Oct, 10. please read this news http://www.zeenews.com/news660376.html

It seems that they will utilise the old stocks first.

Btw, I had my interview on Sat 9th Oct, but still havent received the passport yet.

Oath Locations........

Post by 1963British » Thu Oct 14, 2010 7:18 pm

Has anyone known of others having their certificate sent to a local authority other than the one they requested?

I requested one specifically and it was sent to where we live instead of what we requested.

The problem is where we live has very few ceremonies scheduled and nothing private.

Trying to get it sorted.....

Yes, my husband had his certificate sent to our local council when we specifically requested a different council with more frequent ceremonies.
However this actually worked out well as he made it onto their monthly ceremony very quickly

As with our timelines I was expecting mine today but nothing- Ps I enclosed record delivery envelope with application but silly me I forget to get tracking number. Do you think I should ring Ho and maybe ask for the recorded mail reference so I can track it
Let not your heart be troubled.

If you enclosed a return envelope, I have absolutely no doubt that you will receive your approval letter in the first half of next week.

You could call, not to ask for status, but to ask if they have your royal mail tracking number!!

I have found the staff at the nationality section to be professional and prompt, indeed deserving of high praise. If things go wrong, as that will happen to all men, they work at making things right.

And never forget if you are a person of Faith, prayer always helps.

But again, I have no doubt that you will be a fellow British Citizen before the end of the month, if you go for the individual ceremony.

Hi, i just wanted to ask a question here about naturalisation, can anyone plz tell me that:

Is there any chance of your application being accepted/rejected despite you declare , getting just one fixed penalty notice(shoplifitng) in 5 years of your residence. All other requiremnets are fulfilled. Even I know that there was no need to declare the fixed penalty notice, but I did cuz many people suggested that to me but now i think I did wrong and it can go against me(God forbidden),(as HO also said not necessary to disclose, but its too late now) will it really have any negative impact on the application?

Is there anyone who have experinced the same situation,of disclosing one fixed penalty notice and it didnt effect the dicsion and the application was succesful..plz reply as its giving me a severe depression..:(

Also if it takes too long for your application than normal, that means the application is in danger? cuz i have seen many posts in this thread, regarding timeline, and it looks that it only takes 3 weeks for your application to be approved.(also ppl i knw got the approval letter within 3 4 weeks)but with my case its been more than 5 weeks, there is nothing i heard about the deceion.

plz respond to my querries as am really worried..
thanks
