Travel Plans in January and BHC wont respond

Post by dhruv » Thu Nov 11, 2010 4:40 pm

Hi Guys

I got my tier 1 in the beginning of this month. I had asked in the application form to start my visa 3 months from the date of application. But the case worker ignored it and started my visa from Nov 1.

I sent an immediately email to BHC delhi but they take 20 days to respond and still have not responded it. Any clues as to whether they will amend the date?

Also, I will travel in January end which will be almost 3 months after my visa starting date, do you think there will be any issue of any sorts?

I appreciate your help

Dhruv

They wont ammend the start date. Most case workers ignore it. As per the current rule, a delay of 3 months will impact in future i.e you will have to go for second extension. But the rules are changing soon.

Why not? I know for a fact it can and has been done in the past, including on my own visa, although not through Delhi BHC.

ECB9.5 states that post dating a visa is subject to ECO's discretion.
