Fiance visa - can we marry abroad

Hi
If my girlfriend got a fiance visa for the UK (Shes Russian, I'm British) - do we have to get married in the UK or can we get married abroad, provided of course its within the 6months?

I dont think your UK fiancee visa applies in other countries. However you can get married in any country of your choice as long as you can satisfy perhaps (the immigration) and whatever marriage requirements that are in place in your chosen country.

A finace(e) visa will not be issued unless you provide evidence that arrangements for marriage in the UK have been made.
