Tier-1 Validity ? URGENT!!

Post by tripas3 » Wed Nov 17, 2010 6:49 am

Hi All,

I got my HSMP in Oct 09 , however I have not used it till now. There are chances that I can get a chancw to travel to UK , can Anyone tell me if the HSMP will remain valid after not using it for more than a year ? the expiry date for the same is oct 2012.

thanks

I'm assuming that your HSMP is valid for 3 years - in that case you shouldn't have any issues with entry.

Just a thing to remember when planning this is to keep extensions in mind. Generally you won't have a problem with entry, but remember that by the time you come to extend that your earnings have to be sufficient for the previous 12 months without using an sort of uplift factor.

Ashutosh,

I am in the same boat as yours. I got my visa stamped in Jan 09 and planning to travel in Dec. Do you have any idea on list of the documents that you are carrying?

Great advice, attempt to deceive UKBA in an effort to hide something which is perfectly allowable.

Do I have to call them and give excuse.. before travelling?

Further, if any person wants to travel (first time to UK) after 1 years of VISA stamp (Tier 1 - Valid til Jan 2012)- does need to show again 2800 pounds bank balance for 3 months and 12 months salary slips( Latest )…at the time of arrival in UK?

any help!!

Regards,
Karthik

You don't have to call them. It is absolutely fine to travel as long as your visa is valid.
