Tier 1-General Self Employed

Post by kiri132 » Sun Nov 21, 2010 12:32 pm

Could you please advise,Can I submit professional Indemnity insurance instead of Employer liability Insurance.Because I am running Engineering Consultancy firm as a sole trader and do not employ any staff.
To proff my self employment is it enough to submit business account and UTR number from HMRC?
Thanks

I think it is a requirement to have employers liability insurance + in ur application u need to mention that the insurance is for atleast 2 people as u have employed someone.
