ILR bank statements

Post by Sean7398 » Mon Nov 29, 2010 7:32 pm

Hi

My wife is applying for ILR Set M next week at croydon.

Weh have bank statements to show except that Mine (husband and UK citizen) do not cover the last 6 weeks before our application as my statement comes every 3 months.

I have printed an online statement (allbeit in black and white!) and the bank have verified it by stamping their branch stamp on them. Would this be okay?

The rest of the statements are originals.

Cheers

They expressly indicate in the guidance that online copies are not accepted - albeit that the bank has stamped them in your case.

It's easy to fix though, just to be on the safe side, go into a branch the day before your appointment and ask them to print your statements from the date after which your last original statement indicates to date (your wife should do the same thing for hers) - on letterhead. That will be acceptable and if stamped and/or signed, even more so. :D

Hi

All my bank statements are dated for the 5th of every month. I will be supplying many months of bank statements. Our appointment is on the 21st, do you think that it will be necessary to supply an up to date print out from the branch covering the 5th -21st or will the bank statement up until the 5th be acceptable?

Many thanks

You will be fine if the gap is less than a month. Bank verified statements are also okay.
All the best

Hey
So when I went took my internet statement (for the past 6 weeks) to the bank, the lady took one look at my statements and then just stamped each page with the offical branch stamp, with the date stamped on it. I guess this should suffice? I have normal official statements prior to six weeks also spanning back to 6 months.

Oh the stress.

its probably too late but did you contact your bank customer services (not in branch but on phone). iny my case i get yearly statement but when i need a original copy then i contact them and they send me additional copies by post upto last month. usually takes 7-10 days though.
