Hi All,
My passport expires in Apr-2011 (I have sent renewal application to Indian High Commission in London two times, but the rejected my application both the times asking for more documents around my Permanent address in India). I am going to Indian towards end of Dec, so I will try to get some address proof from there.

Meanwhile I am eligible for ILR visa on 07-Jan-2011 (Complete 5 years in 05-Feb-2011). I have Tier1 (General) visa until Nov-2011. I would like to apply for ILR visa as early as possible before the coalition government closes even ILR route (just realised govt. is closing Tier1 (General) route from Apr-2011!)

Can I apply for ILR in person in Jan-2011 with just 3 months passport validity? Greatly appreciate your feedback.

Hi Raghu,

Were u able to findout any document regarding passport validity? I am in a slightly different situation and looking for passport validity information.

i dont think there is any. i have heard of cases where ILR has been issued even when passport is expired (in such cases they put ILR visa on seperate piece of paper)

on second note, raghu i have send a PM regarding ur passport application, can you reply?
