Just a quick question Blessed1, Your RC is in a separate paper or is it in your passport as a stamped RC? Please give us an update.

@ H O Fan, the RC was stamped in my passport. It took 4 months and 3 weeks to get it returned from the HO. I never requested for my passport back at any time.

since your wife have another work you do not need a health insurance . in fact you don't need to tell them that she is self employed. that is my opinion on that. i could be wrong .

I applied for EEA 2 in the month of July2010 & got COA after one & half month. Then nothing was asked.

Today I phoned Home Office to inquire what was happening with my case one the representatives told me you would be getting your documents with in next couple of weeks. Now here I want to ask if they can refuse or they would issue the RC as I & my wife still works & I provide all necessary documents.

Any help would really be appreciated.

Thanks.

I phoned them on 13th of December but still haven't got anything yet. I really don't know how much time they would take as it is more than two weeks now. Any sugesstion please.

I really can't see why they have to refuse. Don't worry they will issue your RC, just wait for that couple of weeks they've asked.

EEA2

Post by kaycee23ful » Thu Dec 16, 2010 4:06 pm

Hello Everyone,

I just would like to ask regarding eea2 application...I'm about to submit my application before the end of the month; as we're about to get married next week. I'm on a work permit visa (old scheme) and my visa will expire in January 16 next year. My problem is I might not get the certificate of acceptance before my visa expires as this is also needed by me employer as proof to keep me employed. They said if I don't have the actual VISA yet any letter from HO that my residency is being process i'll be able to keep my job. Am I qualified for the 3 month initial right to residein the UK unde EC Law even without the need to obtain evidence confirming the right of residence after I married an eea national exercising his treaty rights in UK? I'm not sure if I can use that initial right of residence, since I'm already in the UK for years prior to our marriage?
Hope someone can give me some clarification or advise on this matter pls.

Hi BOGBOSS I think they are taking 5 to 6 months as all we know processing time is 6 months. But now they have speed up their processing times as some applicants are getting response even before 5 months. U would be hearing good news by mid of FEBRUARY or MARCH. That's all I know. Anyway BEST OF LUCK.

Hi Rotten_Tomatoe,

No I haven't received yet but hopping to receive soon. As I told earlier when I phoned HOME OFFICE to ask, they said that it was sent to dispatch team & I would be getting my documents with in couple of weeks. But I still don't know what outcome would be. Wish me luck guys.

Thanks.

Iwas worried because most of the people in here got their COA after almost a month or so. Do you think I'm qualified for the initial 3 months rule to reside as wife of an eea national? so I can talk to my employers, even if they won't allow me to work after my visa expires but just to satisfy them to keep the job for me until such time i recieved my coa. Thank you and hoping to enlighten me.
