Post by Study786 » Fri Jan 07, 2011 11:12 pm

Hello

On this page you will find guides, files for practice tests (containing audio files, spoken tests and written tests) for new English Language Test for Spouse Visa.

The most easy one i have found is >>CIELT (Certificate In English Language Test) for partners/spouses, conducted by College of Excellence, has been assessed as meeting the UK Border Agency Standards and will be accepted as evidence that the applicant meets these requirements.

To find out if CIELT is available in you country:

ws wr wb

My wife is also trying to book the test in Islamabad. She was told by the centre in ISB that the next available date will be announced on 15 feb. I will post a detailed info on the test once she is done with it.
It took me sometime to get the above information so i shared it with others as its very confusin at the moment to find out what actually this test is. Im still trying to get more information and will keep updating the above post.
I myself wanted to find a person who has taken the test. A member of this forum gave me some information on her spouse's personal experience of the test but unfortunately that was not enough. You can have a look at it and try to get more info from the person if you can please.

Alhamdulillah i have got an earlier date now. College of Excellence has just replied to my email enquiry which also explain about the fees and time table of the next available test in Islamabad. I am pasting it below:

Dear Applicant

Thank you for your interest in CIELT (Certificate in English Language Test). I would like to confirm you the next CIELT exam (for spouse and civil partner) date in Islamabad, Pakistan is 25th January 2011. The exam fee is £200.

Please call us or reply to this email with your full name, contact number, permanent address and the date of birth to book your place.

The exam consists of two components;

1 – Listening (30 minutes)

2 – Speaking (5 – 8 minutes)

For Listening Part (Audio and Sample paper) please go to the link and Listen to the audio

http://www.coex.org.uk/samples.html

I hope this will be helpful.

Please feel free to contact us for further details.

I just asked them if they have any exam centres in Islamabad and the next exam date. So they sent me the above information. I have sent a copy to my wife who will contact them to book the test herself. I dont know how long it takes to get the results yet. Once you have the results you can submit the visa application straight away.
