Help needed with Visitor Visa

Hi,
My brother is presently in India.He got his Visitor Visa/Clinical Attachment Visa which is applicable from 22nd January 2011.My query is that whether he can start his journey from India on 21st January 2011 and reach UK on 22nd January 2011?
Just want to know whether he will be having Immigration problems if he starts his journey from India on 21st Jan 2011?
Ur help will be highly appreciated.

what if the airline staffs refuses to board him because his visa is not effective until the next day. What are you trying to achieve with the 12 hours difference?
