Hi there,

Submitted application in early October, got COA a couple of weeks later on 18/10/10. I've called twice to ask, and both times I've been turned down. They say that they can't give any info.

Anyone has been the same situation? Did you manage to get around it?

Txns.

Hi Hav72,
I was in a similar situation. I applied in October too, got COA late October. Then no news. Until recently I couldn't get through to anyone at all-voicemail all the time. Then someone on this forum advised to call 01516725626, then press option1,then option2 and you should be able to get through to someone who can give you information. Make sure you have your case ID number ready and be very polite.I have been advised that my application is in the final stage.Since you applied arround the same time this might be the case with you too. Good luck

-At this stage we are unable to confirm your right to work in the United Kingdom. This will depend on the outcome of the application. The enclosed Questions and Answers sheet provides more information about employment rights.

Why?
I supply all relevant documents with my application ( mar. certificate, divorce,ex husbant working from 2004-till now never stop,i am self emloyment all this time, child nursery letter, joint bank account,my comoany account and letter from accounter and revenue, all consil tax and bills for both names froom 2004-2008 and all....).
I dont understand what HO mean - We will consider your application but may need to contact you for some additional or alternative evidence.Until work on your application has been completed we will not be able to provide confirmation on your current status.
Its mean i have no right to work now? But how iam going to live? and my child?for 6 month waiting time? they ant me to close my company untill they consider my application?

Hi Chelsea,

I finally got through today, but they said that my case was being processed, not final stage yet. I guess I will have to be patient.

Thanks anyway.

Hi All,

I've been reading the board for a while and everything on the board has been very useful, so I though I would contribute as well ....

I submitted my EEA4 application on the 4th October 2010 and got the COA on the 20th October 2010.
I received my passpot with the PR stamp today.

Hope this helps to anyone with similar timescales as mine...

Good luck all...

Hi Guys,

I've sent the eea4 application form the 10th of February but haven't received the COA which is see here it's repeatedly mentioned. Is that something I am supposed to receive? Or does it apply only in particular cases?

Basically after a month I haven't received any comunication from HO, I know through Royal Post they've got the documents by post but that's all. Right now we both live in UK without documents and neither a paper saying they are hold by HO. Doesn't make much sense.

Thanks

For some strange reson they do not seem to send COA to everybody. My partner applied in October and still has not recieved his COA. He rang the HO to check and his application is under consideration. Keeping our fingers crossed and praying.

Hi

I've been reading this forum for while now and it helped me a lot with my application, now I want to contribute to it as well. I was granted Permanent residence on 18 March, the parcel arrived on the 29th. This was my time frame- applied on the 9th of December, COA received in January, never called the HO only once in December to check whether they've received my application, since then tried to forget about it altogether. So overall its only 3 months wait, even less then we had to wait for EEA3 sent the year before that (8 months wait on that one). Wanted to thank everybody on this forum sharing their experience. Please feel free to ask any info. Thanks again.

HI everyone, ive been monitoring this board for a while now and it is quite amazing how many of us have similar issues. it is quite uneasy to stay calm when you've put life documents forward to be judged. anyway, i'm confident i have people amongst this discussion board who will have answers to my concerns

I'm married to an eea member in 2005 outside of the uk, moved to the uk shortly after in october 2005 on student visa,
i receieved my RC in Nov 2007
we lived together for about 3 years till september 2008
although still married i moved to another town due to work prospects, she has excersied her treaty rights ever since nov 2005. i've also been working since then.
i have put in my application for a PR provding all the required documents till date despite different addresses. although we dont currently stay at the same address we are still happily married and have no cohabiting evidence to cover for the last two years+, but i provided our individual address evidences to show we've lived in the UK for more than 5yrs.

will this affect my application? i've read through some case studies and i dont quite understand the 5yrs legible period for application. is that the period of the 5yrs RC (expires nov 2012) or is this the period we have been married as a couple and living in thte UK? please guys, all comments will be gratefuly received.

Thanks

Hi there friends,
I am sailing in the same boat as you ,
I applied for EEA4 Permanent residence on 13.12.2010
Received COA in the First week of Feb.2011 ,
On March 30th H.O. Liverpool called my solicitor to ask for some more documents and the lady dealing with my case asked my solicitor to call her as well & My solicitor did call her explaining about the documents We were asked for also we sent the document the next morning.
Has something similar happened to any one lately? If yes then what was your experience ? My Solicitor advised me that he thinks it’s positive otherwise they would have sent your documents back and refused your application.
Please suggest if I should ask my solicitor to call the H.O or not .
Any help or advice will be highly appreciated.
Many Thanks.

Hi everyone!

Here's my timing.

Applied through the solicitors.
Application sent - 19 of Jan 2011
COA received - not sure, my solicitors did not forward it to me
Date on the PR sticker - 21 of March 2011
Passports received from HO - 4 of April 2011
total of 2.5 months of waiting which seems to be just unbelievable!

Good luck to everyone who's still waiting!! ))

HI Everyone,

Wanted to let anyone knows that i have been in the same situation and my time frame is:

Applied through solicitor,
Applied for PR on 07.12.10
COA received on 01.02.11 and dated on the letter 22.01.11

HO asked a new document on 22.03.11 and sent it back after 4 days
since that time just waiting like everyone, me and wife want to go to my brothers wedding :( I called the number you guys provided to us unfortunately they didn't want to give any info even they didn't want to get case id or whatsoever...

I guess we have to wait and see what will happen...

As I said as soon as I have got any info I will let you know folks...

Regards

still waiting over four weeks now for COA. although not yet recieved, i can sleep better now, i called the HO for confirmation that my documents arrived there safely. the guy i spoke to took a few details from me to confirm that i was the person who submitted the application and he confirmed they have my documents but he couldnt tell me more than that.

I'm pleased enough that my information is on thier system.

i will have to wait and hope for the best.
