Visa fee not Yet deducted

Hi All,

My application for Tier 1 Extension reached home office on 7th Feb 2011. I have given Visa debit card details.Fee is not yet deducted.
Any one in similar situation. Shall I contact home office ?

I used a visa debit too. My application arrived on a Tue and the fees weren't deducted until Thu night at 5:30pm (not that I was refreshing my online balance every 5 minutes!!). My bank updates the balances every few hours too, so give it some time and try to be patient, not that I was

My application reached home office on 3rd Feb 2011 (Thursday) and today being 10th of Feb 2011, the visa fee not yet deducted from my account. But, I made the payment by CHEQUE, so i am not sure how much time does it take for the cheque to get cleared? Can i contact home office and enquire? which number to dial in? Or is it bit early for me to call home office and enquire regarding my payment?

Sanjeev, I would be wanting to call them up and ask them but probably it is a bit early. It is the 5th business day since they received your application. Card payments seem to be processed on the 3rd day (at the earliest, often longer), so if someone has to take a check to the bank, wait for it to clear, wait for it to show up in your online banking, ... probably some more time is needed.

I think you are right. I will wait for another 3 working days and then probably try to call the home office.

Checked extenstion application on trackitt.com and it is taking around 5 working days for Credit/debit payments

Its all depend on their work load and priorities. You should also instruct your bank that Homeoffice will be requesting the amount equal to visa fee so they must allow it. I did same with my payment through credit card. If you do not do that then there may be chances that your bank will suspect fraud and block payment. This happened with few people here.

I made payment by 2 Cheques for me and my wife. Total of Â£850 and Â£250 respectively. Anyways, i will call up the bank and instruct them. Till yesterday the Cheque did not hit my bank for clearance.

Hi,

If at all we need to contact the Border Agency regrading our payment not being deducted, whcih number do we call? do we call the same customer care number? Is there any other number for the UKBA payment handling team?

Same number.
I called them today.They told be patience and come back to us if payment is not processed within 4 weeks.

I am surprised that they can even take 4 weeks for the payment to be processed. Anyways, we have no other option right now, but to wait. I think our payment will be deducted next week anytime.

Finally account balance went down...Fee deducted on 11th Feb

Great to know that your fees is deducted now and your application is in process. Which home office number did u called up to enquire about your payment? can you please mention the number. i want to call them and find out as what is happening with my application fee? Please update the contact number.

My visa fees finally got deducted on 15th Feb 2011.

Even my application fee is not deducted yet my application reached HO on 7th Feb still wait I think we should wait another 2 days.

What i have learned from my experience is that if it is a cheque payment, allow 7-10 working days for the payment to be deducted. If it is a debit card payment, u should allow atleast 5 working days. I am sure your visa fees will get deducted this week. Don't loose patience. All the best:) Keep us posted.

My visa application fee get deducted today(payment by cheque) I applied on 5th feb they recevied my application on 7th of Feb...
