ILR & Claiming benefits

Hi Guys,

Thanks in advance. i am sure this must have been discussed in the past as well and because of this very helpful forum, i have come to know that as my wife is british and i am on a 2 years spouse visa, we can jointly claim tax credits and she can claim child benefits. the only thing i need to know as what should we do in the set(m) application form section where it says claiming public funds. do we have to tick thee public funds or not? as i am due to apply for ilr with in a week, ur reply would be highly appreciated. any reference to the answers would be grately appreciated.
