Guys, I am in the same boat as you. I have a shortfall on my HSMP extension of 2 months. When I contacted the UKBA last month, they told me to apply for a second extension, which on 1st March 2011.

I have now come across this thread, and I am realising that I should have had my first extension changed based on the Judical review policy (not even most workers at UKBA understand what it means).

They have however already deducted the payment from my Credit Card for me+2dependents. So it is too late to stop the process for the 2nd extension.

What should i do?

Just to update you guys, I have posted the application today and will update the outcome once I get the response from UKBA.

Thanks a lot for your guidance especially bani and ruthie.

Anyone got passport back yet? I've been waiting for 3 weeks and I heard most got it returned in 2 weeks time? Seems now it takes even longer than a normal extension application

Hi All,

Still I haven't recieved until today morning
I have posted my passports on 25th feb

I tried to call the shaffield office and explain my case but the
call center people just need an application number to help???
I explained to them that my case is different and i dont have any application

Home office should have created a separate form for people like us
so that we can track :-)

cheers

Can you please let me know what reason you mentioned in your cover letter
for correction of dates? Do I need to send my bank statements / salary slips etc with the application and Do I need to fill any forms etc or just the doc mentioned above are okie.

Please do update once you get response from HO.

Thanks a lot for your help.
I would suggest you read dba_kkk thread above which explains all the documents to go with it. By the way I am also in the same boat as you are (exactly the same). Got visa in Nov and came to UK in Jan 2007 would need date correction for which I'll be applying soon presently waiting for passport renewals. By the way you are surely covered under the JR judgement. It doesn't matter whether you've got initial visa for 1 year or 2. My initial visa was for 1 year as well.

You can provide them the royal mail bar code reference of the package you sent to UKBA. That is acceptable when an application reference is not available. Of course, that only applies if you sent your passports by recorded/special delivery :)

I've called them today, but they can't find the case using the tracking number. They have given me a post address instead for more information - Customer Contact Centre, UK Border Agency, PO Box 3468, Sheffield S3 8WA. Passport was sent via special deilvery and signed by C WHITELEY.

I'm wondering whether there is anyone having their passport back on March at all? Need my passport back for a flight on May at least...So worried. :(

The lady on the phone was patient enough to listen to my query and she contacted the concerned department and confirmed that they have received my passports

She also sent an email confirming this on my request

Hi dba_kkk,

Good to know that you were able to speak to someone who was able to confirm the receipt of your passports. Did they tell you why it is taking this long where people before have got it back within 2 weeks. Also did she give you any contact tel. no or email for further contacts. Any idea when you would get your passports and documents back?

Hi All,

I have called on 08706067766 and explained my case and the lady could find my application status using the HSMP reference number (which is on the right side of the letter which you received along with first extension )and postal reciept number

As per my request she took my email address over the phone as sent an email confirming the passport recieved

I suggest to stop worrying and call them to atleast recieve an acknowledgement

here the mail

Dear Mr

Thank you for your query regarding your passports.

I can confirm that the documents have been received safely by this
department.
Your case will be actioned as soon as possible.

cheers
