Redbridge Council

Post by Gul » Thu Mar 31, 2011 1:34 am

its almost 42 days since i applied
got acknowledgment on 23 of feb and nothing after that.

HO always says application less then 6 months no information.

It seems Redbridge council only do ceremony once in a month that why application get stuck in HO.

Anyone applied with NCS red bridge before?

and any suggestions to get an update.

I spoke to some one from HO yesterday on the phone regarding my application, the person was helpful and he told me that this is the busiest time in HO due to prices going up next month they received triple application than normal so now average application will take up to 8 to 12 weeks to consider. on normal days they used to take average 6 weeks.
I applied on 14th march and my application still has not been scanned yet, he told me that after scanning onto the computer the case workers will pick the applications up, and then the long process will start.
Well good luck every one who is waiting this is the last obstacle in our path hope fully it will be over soon. thanks

I did apply through NCS.
Hi there! :D I’m applying tomorrow on almost the same conditions (only I’m a driver with one fixed penalty, minor, I have checked, and been away for more than 5 days) so will see how soon I get my response! 8)
due to prices going up next month
Oh come on, how much are they going up by? £50 or something like that? Is it a reason to get triple amount of applications??? :?

My friend for you may be £50 is nothing but trust me for people who are struggling at the moment every penny counts specially people with kids etc. I know so many people who told me that due to increase in the fees they are applying before 6th April.

£50 is £50, it isn’t nothing but it isn’t reason to apply in triple amounts surely. On a contrary to you I don’t know a single person who applied earlier for this reason.
In addition to that those are very old news and applications that seem to be affected by the increase are only this month’s ones

Well Kamalian10 me and you are not working in HO I am only telling you what their staff told me yesterday. so we are no one to judge the situation. and if you do not know any one who is applying early because of the fees issues than may be you need to increase your social circle. few hours ago i rang one of our local immigration Solicitor to book an appointment for my cousin. even they do not have appointment until next week. try calling local NCS they wont have any appointments. they will tell you that due to fees increase and new laws coming up people are panicking and they are trying to apply ASAP

How about improving your own social circle eh? 8)

I’m not judging situation, just suspicious that price is not an issue, new rules – maybe. Panicking and applying last minute to save £50 is not for people who really struggle to get those £50.
As I said in the other thread I booked appointment with no problems, no delays and at suitable for me date couple weeks ago. booking one week in advance only has always been difficult.

If they have 3 times the normal applications, than how come the time it takes them to get money out of our bank hasn't changed? Neither has the timing of the confirmation letters.

I applied on the 14th and got my bank credited on the 18th followed by the letter on the 22nd. Consistent with the normal timing I have seen on this forum previously.

This change in the fee isn’t something which was decided last week, we have known about it for a while.

Ouch!
So just as I got a chance to apply, a horde of cheapskates decides to apply en masse to save 50 quid ...
This is just my typical "luck" ... :(

Now I'm trying to steer away a vision of year-long wait as it was with my HSMP application.

For some the new price may be "only" £50 (it is actually £56) but for the others like families 2+3 it may be as much as (1294-1010) + (810-600) + (270-150) = 284+210+120 = £614 more, for family 2+2 it is £494 more, for a couple £284 more.

And although it is not a recent news, where do you actually see the new fees on UKBA site?
If you go over there http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/britishcitizenship/
there is NOTHING about new fees. So for many people new fees may quite be a news.
And if you are eligible to apply before 6th April 2011, then why not to save on fees increase?

So you applied in February, but your application hasn't been allocated yet?
That’s in contrast to these 2 guys who applied at the same time or after you and already have a decision letter with them!

Yes, exactly – how do those savers know about the increase if they don’t follow the news? Or rather how did they “just found outâ€

Good luck with your application and all the best to get your approval sooner. Please refer earlier post for detailed timeline.

There are no new laws proposed for naturalisation. But after the recent new laws proposed for visas and ILR, people obvious may expect that new laws for naturalisation is also under way. Human life is all about speculating different possibilities. Only constant thing in life is changes in life. We never know when the minister will propose new laws for the naturalisation.

Another call to UK BA and guess what the answer was?

Case has been scanned and waiting to be allocated to the case worker. same answer as last week. The person told me on the phone that it may take up to 6 months for the decision as they are very busy and its best if I dont call . i guess this is the standard answer they give it to every one.

I told him that i know my case is only 3 weeks old but just wanted the update as couple of my friends got the decision within 2 to 3 weeks, he replied it all depends on case workers , some do not have work load and some have tons and tons of applications . It depends on which team pick up your case ( i dont know how they work internally ) . I think i wont bother them now , will sit quiet and wait lol ;)

Good luck all

I can understand your anxiety i also applied for naturalization in 1/03/11 through postal and got the decision on 18/03/11.

By reading other posts i noticed many people are waiting for the decision. I wish you all the best and hope you receive your decision this week.

Wow, that was superfast!!! I wish I have ur kind of luck. I submitted mine on the 25th of march and I'm prepared to wait for 6 months anyways. Though, I will be mad if I got any letter other than approval letter.

Ridiculous
