Sucess at cardiff!

Post by yaelhitch » Sat Apr 09, 2011 5:38 pm

Applied for my husbands ilr on friday at cardiff PEO all went well apart from they had increased the fee from £1250 to £1350 on the 6th april so was a but surprised but had to pay. Very happy with the service but we booked the appointment 3 weeks ago so we should pay the price advertised, we got no prior notice of price increase could I appeal this as £100 was all we had left for rest of month for food bills etc, any ideas?

You must pay the fees applicable on the date the application is submitted. Whether you booked a PEO appointment 6 weeks in advance or 2 days in advance doesn't matter.

The fees increase, effective 06-Apr-11, was announced on 28-Feb. That you were ignorant of it, and did not bother to check for new form and fees, is not something you can blame UKBA for.
