I have a strong feeling that it will be still going through checks, as whoever got the approval this week they applied one or 2 weeks before us, so i think we should hear something in 1st or 2nd week of May, I think tomorrow HO helpline would be more busy as i suspect a lot of people are going to call them tomorrow before Easter holidays. Good luck DX and to all who waiting

Reading in the forum here, it take any where between 2 to 3 weeks once it goes to the caseworker. So I agree with Ferrarilondon, if our cases have been picked up by the caseworkers, this week or last week, it should be done within next 10 to 15 days.

BTW, I came accross a report on UK Border Agency’s operations
in the North West of England "An Inspection of Nationality Group:
The Management of Applications for British Citizenship"

It is a very insightful report and can be found on http://nds.coi.gov.uk/content/Detail.as ... wsAreaID=2

Thanks for the link Lionking, its really interesting.

I suppose we will not hear anything from them now until atleast the first week of May. I rang them about 2 weeks back and got the same answer- waiting to be assigned to a caseworker.

I applied on the 17th of March (5 year WP + 1year ILR), so its the end of 5 weeks today. I am hoping that people who applied during the 3rd week of March will hear something soon.

We had an interview on the same day. And my passport was also delivered on 19th but I was not at home. I re-arranged delivery for today like you but I am still waiting. Did you re-arrange it on-line?

Hi Camellia,

Congratulations! I called them - the line is bad as it's automatic system (voice recognition system), but if you say OPERATOR it connects you through to the call handler.
My partner suggested this as he already worked in call centre - they never say advertise that the "operator" key word works!
Then I arranged it pick it up from their distribution centre (they have several in London).

Thank you Glauco! I have re-arranged it online to be delivered today, if it doesn't turn up late afternoon I will try to call them. Anyway congratulations and have a nice day!

It just turned up! New, shiny e-passport :)
