It has been closed. Tier 1 (General) no longer exists for new applications whether it be in the UK or outside.

please focus your reading on the part where it says: "If you are not in one of the categories above, you cannot apply to Tier 1 (General)."

yes, only for extentions for those already on Tier 1 General.

Thanks for replaying......

i am on hsmp at the moment...was on PSW before.....do they count psw two years for ILR....or have to stay on 5 year of HSMP.....

PSW do not count as part of the residency requirements for ILR except for the long residency route.

As you are on HSMP, this means you can renew your visa under Tier 1 General (if you meet the requrements)

You will need to spend 5 years on a work visa that is not PSW. more details

Depending on when you got your HSMP visa, you may be able to apply earlier. Please see this page.
