No Last Name for Dependant

Post by rahmatullah » Mon Mar 28, 2011 1:03 pm

Hi,

As per the current Tier One General Main applicant extension form, on page 8 it says to enter the dependant's First Name, Last Name and date of Birth.

As per the passport, my son does not have a last name and I cannot fit his first name in the number of boxes provided.

Kindly advice on this.

Thank You

Your sons's last name should be the same as your own last name.

What do you mean when you say your son doesn't not have a last name?

Not a must.

My parents use a the family name / surname, but I have never used one till date.

Thank You all. To Clarify my Query, my sons first name needs three more boxes (or squares) than provided on the application form- Page 8.

Basically it is a lengthy one which does not fit in the space (or boxes ) provided in the application form.

I hope I am clear in my query.

Kindly let me know

Thank You.

Hi,

Would it be all-right to squeeze two letters in a box etc..

Anyone had this same issue earlier?

Thank You

Draw three boxes at the end/below (wherever you find space to draw) ... and fill in the letters!

If I were you, this is what I would do.

my son's passport also doesnt have a surname(actually I missed to enter in the ppt appln form). Now I am applying for dependant visa for my son, should I leave blank for the surname/lastname in the tier1 dependant application form?
has anyone done this before? pls advise

In UK for NHS registration Surname is a manadatory information. How did you handle this? I am worried if I can register my son with NHS without a surname in his passport. Please advise

If the responses above don't answer your query adequately, then I guess the only suggestion to offer is that you change the name of your child to include a surname!

new passport was not rquired. As my son is in the same situation and i have not faced any issues any where.

regarding the name being too long, then i just wrote it outside the boxes continueously and it worked for me. same for job title as it was exceeding the box limits.
