Successful ILR - Pre November 2006 Case

Post by ritz2000 » Thu Jun 02, 2011 4:24 pm

Hi,

I came to the UK on HSMP in June 2006. Renewed HSMP in Feb 2008.

I sumbitted ILR application for myself and one dependent yesterday in Croydon. It was successful. I did not give Life in the UK test.
And the application process wasnt very complicated. I felt i submitted too many documents. I submitted all my employment contracts for 5 years and company accounts. This is unncessary. They are interested only in the current employers letter, P60s, Bank Statements and 3 months Payslips.
For co-habitation as well, i submitted lot of bank statements as well. The lady just put them aside and concentrated on council tax bill, tv license, mobile bills, nhs card, marraige certificate.

When i was called for the appointment, the lady asked me to submit all the documents. She then looked through them and extracted only the ones she was interested in. Also, though my absences from UK were within limit, i dont think she even glanced at my absences.

Thanks to everybody for answering my questions.

Below is the lis of documents I submitted:
- Home Office letter Granting HSMP in May 2006
- Home Office letter Granting FLR in March 2008
- Current Employment Contract beginning 1st Nov 2010
- Savings Account Statements
- P60
- P45
- Employment Contract
- Letter from Accountant
- All contracts till date
- Certficate of Incorporation of Company
- Company accounts covering period of self emplyoment

Cohabitation Documents -
- Marriage Certficate
- Counterpart Driving License
- NHS Medical Card
- Bank Statements
- Council Tax Bill
- TV License letter
- Gas Bill
- Credit Card Statements
- Hospital Appointment letter
- Hospital Scan Report
