Hi my timelines are

Application Type : Postal Joint Nat App
Criteria: HSMP (JR) + backdated ILR
Date of App: 28th April 2011
Debit card deduction: 6/05/2011
Acknowledement letter: Received on 10/5/11
Current status : Waiting for allocation to Case worker.

I initially decided that i would not call home office before 5 weeks however couldnt resist it and called in. i personally think that the call center guys are trained with just stereotype answer, When i asked about the procedure , time lines etc he was unable to answer just mentioned that it can take upto 6 months and it is yet to be allocated to case worker.

Reference number is the HO reference number that is in your acknowledgement letter

Planning to travel for two months to see the rugby world cup in Sept-Oct so really hoping it is complete by then

It is amazing that they can be so slow when one fee is enough to pay two caseworker's salary for about two weeks. UKBA must be making a fortune from this game

Thanks Rightmove. All the best to receive your approval letter soon. One thing I notice now with HO is they send the approval letter as soon as they make a decision. Earlier when I got mine in 1st March they spent few days before posting.
