thnx
Hi Nazia, perhaps not the best thread to raise such question, but let me say to you that Straight Forward cases are cases where no discretion need to be exercised. A school of thought believes that people who have been employed to same employer, no criminal conviction/traffic offence and have lived at 1 single address via their entire qualifying period can be termed as Straight forward case applicants. This is just a myth IMHO, because we've seen plenty cases where such applications take longer than those with more employers/addresses/unspent convictions.

Hope that helps...
hmmm in the last six years i have lived at 4 addresses and 3 employers does that mean my application is not straight forward :( though there is no criminal convictions or any other issues

It doesn't matter, I lived in 5 addresses over 5 yrs and got my approval in 2 months. Only HO knows how they run their checks and which way those checks are being run. I'm sure there are those with 1 single address that have waited for 2 or more months as well. All that matters is for one to meet the standard requirements, if you meet those, then be it 2 months or 6 months or 4weeks, you will surely get the approval.

Hi All,

Is there anyone that applied in April that has received an approval?

I sent my application on April 19. Just wanted to see how far off I could be.

Passport application and Process are very straight forward.. (Apply with Application, your Original valid Passport , Naturalization certificate and fees).
You should get your PP with in 3 week.

Called the home office just now and was told the same ol thing, "Your application is still under consideration and haven't been allocated to a caseworker yet" The wait is agonising but I guess there's nothing I can do. Hope those of us waiting for approval get it sooner rather than later!

Nazia, it depends, if you look at a lot of the March/Early April applications, it took two weeks and some a little more than that. I wouldn't worry if I were you as the HO loves taking money off us so they will definately take your money at some point. How did you make your application? Postal or NCS. If it's NCS, I'd suggest you contact the council to confirm your payment details were sent with your application.

Hi Ferrari, the decision was taken on 27 may. I do not know what it is because they do not mention on the phone. Have been waiting for the letter. When rang last week they advised that there is an error and will hear from them soon.

My employer was asked to send a fax as to why the letters are needed quickly, they mentioned due to travel etc...

So the person from the contact centre asked my employer to send it in writing and fax it to two teams.

I believe, one of the team will be the certificate team and the other will be the casework team that actually approved the application for them to send the letter.

That sounds positive. Did they say it was with a caseworker?

better still, if you know the name of your mp, they all have a standard email address and canbe contacted directly.

surname & first letter of their christian name @ parliament.uk

for example Bob Builder builderb@parliament.uk

@ferrari, how long did it take for your approval letter to come through. I am still awaiting mine. as posted earlier, the descision was taken last Thursday
i meant what help i can request from MP.... Any advice will be good!

I called HO yesterday - answer is still "on going".

I am planning to fax HO and politely ask if i can provide any assistance. if i dont hear anything from them then i'll contact my local MP.

It is almost 9 months !!!! it really frustrate me as I don't see why they are delaying my application - i have got clean record.
