Well from my experience during the process, it means that the checks have been completed and waiting to be checked by a caseworker before a final decision is made

According to my local council (applied through NCS on 12th April ) 95.1% of all BC applications are processed within 3 months, therefore I've not contacted the HO since I submitted my application and suggest that we all do the same. Just let the HO do their job and wait patiently for a positive outcome!

hi giz
you are right should have wait patiently but sometimes situation makes you contact with them. for example any documents missing/payment matter/urgent travel or etc etc otherwise i agreed with you once you have ur application and payment sorted with homeoffice should have patient for atleast wait for 3 mouth.
goodluck to you

How long on average after the interview does it take before you receive the passport?, they say it can take up to 10 working days but just wanted to see how long everyone else has been waiting after they have the interview?, am I just being impatient?

Thanks for the messages. I will certainly try and post the entire timeline formy approval as soon as I get hold of a computer and not on the bb.

In summary my acknowledgment was dated 16th March and I got my approval yesterday. 2months and 3 weeks I would say.

It was a joint application for me and my wife and we were on ilr.

Important point to note I had 3 points on license which I obviously had declared. I always thought this might have been the reason why it got delayed but maybe this a normal timeline for march applicants.

HI everyone, can someone please tell me what home office mean when they state that an application is undergoing checks? Does this mean that the application is with the caseworker? Thanks

Pre-Case-Worker. Checks are done before it is assigned to a case worker for a final decision.

Another slight update

Criteria :: WP, HSMP, Tier 1 + 1 year ILR
Type :: NCS Epping
Date of submission...................21/03/2011
Date application received by UKBA....22/03/2011
Date of debit of credit card.........25/03/2011
Date of receipt of acknowledgement...30/03/2011 (dated 25/03/2011)
Date of receipt of approval..........27/05/2011 (dated 20/05/2011)
Date of ceremony.....................01/06/2011
Date of Passport Application.........03/06/2011
Date application received by IPS.....07/06/2011
Date received letter for interview...15/06/2011
Date of Passport Appointment.........21/06/2011
Date of Passport Receipt.............PENDING

Many thanks to HaseebKhan for the advice. I hadn't received my passport interview letter, but called the IPS who gave me a reference number. I then called for an interview and they were actually able to set up interviews for me and my wife (despite not having her ref).

I was told that the London office has a huge backlog and that I would have to leave details and they would contact me in 10 days to arrange an appointment....I declined this option.
Chelmsford was next closest but they only had slots in 2 weeks time!
I opted for Luton for this coming Tuesday.

In the final stretch now... 8)

hi guyz
any idea if anybody send just payment slip (coz declined earlier) then how long it takes.

1: its like a new application which take about 10 days average OR
2: quicker then the normal

i have sent one with application but payment been declined i went to the bank they have no record about any rejection and even no transation been made yet from homeoffice. i have well enough fund to cover 836 but still payment declined. Now i have sent again and double checked before i sent and i also informed my bank about the payment debiting.

I do not think you can beat me :)
I am still waiting. will call them tomorrow see what they say now.

Johnty
OMG Johnty! Did you phone them? What is the latest update?

Called today and I have been told it is waiting for allocation to a case worker..
I said I believe the external check have been completed which I was told 2 months ago? She said NO! when it is allocated then the checks will be made.

Me: What is going on? First you said waiting for checks now you are saying waiting for allocation and check will be made after that!

She said I can not tell you more than what I see on the screen and etc etc.

So I asked if I can make a complaint so I was given some this address below.
North west CSU
Dept 99 Manchester M90 3WW

Now what shall I do? complaint and what? Need advice please

Thanks
OMG FINALLY

Got my approval letter today
Now waiting for invitation...

If you remember and was following my thread as above. I email the NWCSU asking them why the delay?

So I also received a NICE letter from NorthWest CSU explaining why it took so long. they mentioned the requests made to departments, had no reply, re-requested etc. and then said they have everything now and it was allocated to caseworker and should receive a decision shortly.
Overall I am impressed with NWCSU explanations and I would suggest to anybody in my positions to write them an email before looking for other options like going to your MP. I did not go to MP however I was going to next Friday 24th :)

CRITERIA - :EEA Spouse- automatic PR (5+1)

Date of submission or posting: 11/11/2010
HO received: 12/11/2010
Date of debit of debit/credit card: 17/11/2010

Well done at last ... best thing is that stick with HO, no need to make lots of noise (MP, Paper bla bla etc...etc.. ) HO CSW are doing they job ... so leave them alone.
