I didnt want to call HO but had to do to let them know about changes in some of the details, but they said that the changes i was telling need not to be updated and that should be fine.

And the call advisor said that my application is still waiting to be considered. Its in the 8th week now (applied 14th May)

Your approval letter should say that you need to call your Council to book an appintment for Ceremony

The letter says its successful and should not call council until i've received invitation letter and if i dont get that in two weeks to give them a call

hi tom1 as far as i know they have don security checkes if not they shoulden't say is waiting to be considered i think is that it will go to the case worker any time from now it has been 10weeks now and few days applied trough ncs on 08.04.2011 reached ho on 11.o4 ack dated 26.04 but got it 27 spousal rout married to brit

Not sure if my understanding is correct but 'waiting to be considered' means after taking the fees and sending the acknowledgement, nothing happened in the application process.

Thats what i am bit surprised how come May applications get approval while April applications are still pending and waiting to be considered.

May be the applications dont get queued as per received date.They just get mixed up and they are not put in any order at all. If an application is just at the bottom end and new applications are piled on top of that, then it will take ages to be considered. I think this is why in some cases people have waited longer to be considered than overall average.

Please dont get me wrong, i dont mean to say that this is the case in case of your application, I am on the similar boat , in 8th week of my application and is still waiting to be considered.

It just complete guess and what i thought

is it they told me is out of the que and waiting for cw and is nearly 3months so i think they have done the checks

hiya cino, I applied on 14 th May, so I think for there is quite a long wait ahead.

hd , not easy to wait mate is so frustrating don't know why we still waiting well we hope that we gonna get approval soon feel that can't wait anymore and the whether is hot hot God help us

Yes true, thanks Cino but i try not to think too much about it, its just i had to call HO to update some of the details about my tax so just talked about status etc but i think i will wait 6-7 weeks more before starting to panic

The call adviosr said that as long as they have my tax reference number that is all right and they dont need updating other details and she herself said that my applicatiion is still 'awiting consideration'

in postal application you receive two letter , one for approval confirmation other for Oath ceremony

If you were aware that you will need your passport so soon, you should have applied through your local council check and send. HO made it abundantly clear that if you need your passport in the next three month, you should think carefully b4 you apply. I have a friend who applied last year and he needed to travel due to bereavement after applying for naturalization. HO advice him then to withdraw his application since his case had not been decided which he did. He had since got his approval. However, you applied through a solicitor, you should be able to seek advice from the him/her since you paid for the service ( I Assumed )

on a positive note, i beleve your approval will come though end of july/early august

Is your solicitor is registered with OISC ? if yes than he don't need to send your original Passport to HO, in my case we have in-house company solicitor for immigration and Work Permit and he is OISC registered. He had not sent my passport with the application in last oct-2010 and my application approved with-in 4 week time.

Yes Cino true and i am not going to panic for at least 6-7 weeks more, because its not two months yet and also i am not expecting anything less than 10 weeks

I am getting confused some people said I can't request my passport others said I can.
Thanks Haseeb for your replay. My solicitor is registered with OISC but she advised me to send my passport with the application to speed up the application process, therefore, she sent my application on 20/06 and I am not sure if I will get the approval on time before 11 Aug. as I planned to go for holiday and booked my ticket as well. I am not sure if I could request my passport while processing the BC application.

relax mego no need to get confused . ask ur solicitor to get the passport and see what she say .

you can make a request first of all you need to call and speak to the advisor because coz they do receive call regarding the passpart back and hope you will get some reasonable advice and plus as cino said ask your lawyer to write them (HOME OFFICE) there should not a problem. goodluck
