I hope so .... but the last call i made to HO was about 8 days ago and it was going throguh inital checks so if i dont hear anything in 10 days i will call HO again, but for the time being i think i will hold on.

I see there are few users who applied in 1st/2nd week of May and when they called HO , they got answer 'Going throguh Initial Checks'. I wonder if there is a new process for checks, etc (?)

Yes it is part of their current process, but what i was trying to say if they have added some changes and going throguh more checks than they used to do previously

In 95% of the timelines posted, it doesn't take longer than 11 weeks for a decision to be made on an application. If after 11 weeks your application is not yet under consideration, I suppose you can begin to worry. Before that, try not to work yourself up. I know its easier said than done  !

yes you are right your took 11 weeks and 3 days lol. mine application is about 7 week since then HO recived but technically its 3 week coz my payment made on 20 or 21st of june (due to card declined) thats why appication process begin once payments made. so i have still got 4 or 7 week to wait but i do hope i will get some positive respone sooner rather then later......finger crossed

Hi Guys,

A quick update. just called HO.

I dint have my HO reference no. Lady said that she will check this time but from next time I need to have a reference no.

She checked and informed me that a decision has been made quite recently but no documents have been sent out yet. I asked how long will it take for docs to arrive, she said few weeks.

So lets see when I will receive my docs.

Vipul - no way!!!! that's awesome news man!
Well atleast you can expect something in a few weeks!!!!
When did you apply again? June 10th?
I am inclined to call HO too and see what response I get! but I guess I'll wait for another week!

Best Wishes

Ok great!

I will call them sometime next week - to chase them for the ack letter if I haven't received one yet! and cheekily ask them about the status too...

Hi Nazia, One query. Did you get another ack letter from them after paying over the telephone?

You don't get another letter. Once you've received a letter with your ref number on it - that is used for all further communications for the Visa category you've applied!
This is from experience seeing a close friend of mine applying for HSMP on 3 different ocassions but his ref num remained the same through out!
His first 2 applications were rejected and 3 approved!!

The professional reference for my wife got a call from UKBA at her work-place. This did not happen when I applied (last yr, same person who gave reference). Has anyone else experienced this recently ?
