How long does it take on an average from the date of decision to receive the decision from HO? (application is through NCS)

When I spoke with the lady she said the docs will be posted out this week and I should aim to get in within 2 weeks....
So I reckon either end of this week or the next!

To the guys whose account was debited around 21st June..I think they are processing that week applications and may not hurt to try and call them again... May be this time try without your reference number - tell them you don't have it!

When Vipul and I called both didn't give our ref numbers and they had to do a search by name... I know it sounds silly but may be status aren't updated immediately with a seach on the ref number ....

Best Wishes

Its worth a try - but yes that's what happened - with Vipul and I.

I've just read under the Timelines Post that someone called HO recently and was said waiting for allocation...few days on that same person received their approval documents!

thats true. I didnt have my ref number handy, so the lady searched for it and said decision taken.

I called up again and was told that decision was taken on 12th July and decision posted on 14th. So hopefully be end of the week I should hear from them.

vipul1981, 1664 the turnaround time for your application was so quick, would you mind sharing some info like do you have just a single residential address, many short trips abroad etc.

Yes Nazia88 its not crime or never will be...what i was trying to see that if HO contacts the councils where you lived in last five yeras, if so then if there 3-4 addresses it can definitely take longer to get replies from the councils being govt offices thats it

rnr79 - I've lived in 4 different addresses in the last 5 years. And in terms of my travels - mine wasn't above the stipulated number of days and I have had both long 60 days and short 2 day trips within the last 5 years.

Nazia I think it was a fair question to ask. (in my opinion)

Although as everyone is saying, it shouldn't make a difference. In last 5 years I have been on 2 addresses. Current one for more than 4 years.

Regarding trips, I had quite a few trips, mix of personal and business.

I reckon the randomess in decision making could be due to response time on checks, work load of individual case workers etc etc.

those checks are not difficult for HO to find out the result and shouldnt be take that much time and my whole point is application cannot or shouldnt be delayed because of address and trip as long as everything in the limit.

Do agree with u.

What could be the reason for delay in processing for some/many

Agree with Vipul and rnr79.
No one knows what sort of checks take place so there is no harm in asking any questions if it satisfies the thought process of the person asking them.

As you (Nazia)may have certain questions and are free to ask - the same applies to all users! So let there be flow of information and other users not be condescending to the questions asked by other fellow members!
