Hello all

I finally received my approval letter this afternoon - it was dated 29 July!!

I will fill in the other thread once I have ceremony confirmed. Hopefully my local town hall will not be burnt down.

Best of luck to those still suffering/waiting....

AALI24 - if you were to read the stickys and the posts you'll realise there is nothing to worry with the sort of responses you've received.
These are standard answers given by HO call centre staff to all applications. At one stage after I was told a decision was made I had called the HO for some reason and the lady on the other side said my case hasn't been put up on the systems yet!!

So If I were you I wouldn't read much into the responses.

Good Luck

I have now booked private ceremony for this Thursday 11th August. My company wants me to get British Passport asap. They are paying for it. Will be sending my passport application on Thursday itself.

How long does it take to get the british passport back?
