Done with the interview. Usual questions asked. I think I answered them correctly. Wasn't too sure about no of credit cards I have. But told them 4 major ones I use mostly. He seemed to be happy with the replies. Now the final wait begins. :)

They have told me it should take 4 working days for passport to arrive.

Vipul - Thanks man.

So can you tell us what the procedure is for the interview? From the point you get in to the questions asked..etc

I sort of know - but will be good to hear your side of events.

Hi Mate,

reached Crawley office at 9.25. My appointment was 9.45. The guy at reception took the letter and asked me to confirm my name and address. Then he asked me to remove my glasses and I think he matched it with my photograph (passport photo I sent was without glasses). Then he gave me a token number and asked me to wait. There was only 1 other person waiting before me.

They called the other guy after about 5 minutes at around 9.30 and called me straight after that. He went into one office and I was called at cubicle next to that office.

The guy who took my interview, told me its a very basic interview and main aim of this is to prevent identity theft. Then started the questions

Pls see list of questions below

What is your full name? Spell it.
What is your full address including post code? When did you move in?
Are you registered to vote at this address?
Does anyone else over the age of 16 live in your house? Who?
Have you been known by other names?
Are you married, divorced, single etc?
Do you have children ? If so how many?
Does your wife / children live with you in same address?
Your previous address, post code.
What is your date of birth? Where were you born?
When did you take your naturalisation ceremeny? Where? public /private?
Your mother's name and date of birth? Place / Country of birth?
Your father's date of birth? Place / Country of birth?
How manay bank accounts do you have and which ones
How many credit card and store cards do you have? Which cards and stores
Do you have a morgage? with what bank?
Mobiles contarcts? which company
Who signed your form? his age, profession and how do i know that person and for how long I have known that person. Where does that person works? name and address of the company?
Have you received your documents back?
What docs u sent with ur passport application? Have i got them back all right?
thats it I think

after that asked me to sign on the electronic pad.

Then he said they need to do further checks and I should receive the passport in 4 working days and if I dont receive within 10 days, to call the helpline number.

If you applied using the post office check & send service, how do you know when the IPS receive your application?

I had my interview in Reading today. Really nice office and people. They saw me early and the interview only took about 5 minutes. So now the final wait begins. Can't wait for it all to be over!
