i think i am one of those unlucky who have to wait 6 month or more now i am just pissed off and very disappointed

Nazia88, take it easy. I can imagine how disappointed you are. You got to hang in there. I m sure yours is not far behind.

Nazia88 i dont think its going to that long wait...it definitely happens suddenly which we would not be thinking...for me when i called them on almost at the end of the day on 1st of Aug they gave usual answer and on the morning of 3rd of aug decision was made...

I know the feeling...but just if i can reassure then everything would be all right

Nazia I think you will be fine. So will I, hopefully. Every day when I come home I have that anticipation feeling to see if the approval has come, like a child opening a Christmas present.
The only thing is, I'm almost sure that when they start processing my application they will give me a call to confirm some stuff, I'd be surprised if they approve me without even wanting to check a few things, so I'm not holding my breath.
I really really hope that we both get served soon.

I agree with what robertw said about the delay in processing applications...I think the reduction in the number of case workers may be main reason for delay...but they just tell some deceptive reasons like going through security check..extra security chekcs etc..

there is something about delays may be caseworkers are instructed about this...one of my mate applied about 5 weeks ago using NCS.. and fee is not deducted yet at least was not untill wed....are they going through secuirty checks for getting the money out of account as well

Alhamdolillah after 16 weeks i got my approval today
thanks to everyone here in the forum, moderators and members and i wish good luck to all who are still waiting.

My passport application is processed just got the reference number from IPS...there are some slots in London office next week...but i wanted early morning or sat appointment so have to wait couple of weeks for that and booked appointment for 8th Sep early morning.. They received my application on 19th and letter to book interview was sent on 24th...its very fast service...very pleased with it

hi rnr79 - did they not have any before the 8th? That's a long wait,no?
Also worth trying maidstone,crawley,Luton as they may have something for this sat.

Yes its a logn wait...when i asked the guy on the phone that can be check other offices if there is any sat appointment earlier he checked couple of offices Luton, Reading and said no and then said he cant check more as its taking long time and cant spend more time on one call so i thought lets books whats avaialble may be i will give a call once again after couple of hours to check if anything available at Maidstone or chelmsford office

Just called IPS again and got appointment at maidstone for next sat..so thats good...couldn't get any appointment for tomorrow though , i think its too late to get tomorrows appointment

thanks 1664...how are you travelling to maidstone , train, driving, If you are driving would be intersted to know parking places there

my passport is out for delivery today. The lady at the courier said he may post it or leave the card. Not sure how this works. If its a secure courier, how can they just post it without signature?

i think by direct post to passport office application processed quickly or i am just thinking like that. if i am not wrong you send by special delivery? anyway good luck .

rnr79 I got the tracking number and checked on sx secure couriers website. It says out for delivery.

Nazia88, I sent it with Special Delivery rather than check and send. Sometimes Check & Send can get delays due to late posting by relevent Post Office
