I got mine back through TheDx and they wouldnt deliver without a signature or a proof.

May be they are inconsistent in their ops... as long as your docs are fine and not tampered... you have nothing to worry :)

I requested an explaination for this delivery and i got the interesting reply as :

The payment for return of documents by secure delivery is that instead of going through the postal system, where the chances of them going missing are greater, a courier service delivers them. If you live in a secure area, with a letter box that goes directly into the house, then the passport and supporting documents are put through the box. Only people who live in blocks of flats with multiple mail boxes or a mailbox attached to the outside of the house are required to sign.

Think so. No mail or anything here. It's annoying. :P

You might want to take a look at the title of the thread: "General discussion after BC and Passport application".

In any case, my passport arrived today! I did have to sign for it! But yay, my journey is over! :D

Nazia I have given up on the home office. they will never tell us anything useful. I'll just sit and wait. When I applied back in May I planned to have a party after receiving my approval. I was expecting great joy. Now though, I doubt I'll feel any joy even when my approval comes. Just a lot of bitterness.

I think the last time was a couple of weeks ago. I'm tempted to call again but I know what the answer would be. This wait is really painful. I have aged 5 years during these 3 months.

The thing is I live in a complex of block of flats - so I have a feeling the DX will send us a letter first and then we'll have to rearrange the delivery date...

Similar when we had our documents returned....

They need a pass to enter the gates - royal mail have the authority to come in but other courier companies will have to contact the consignee to let them in -

similar to how our documents were returned. so its definitely got to depend on where you live..
