I dont belive that its possible as they dont even allocate to case worker b4 4 weeks so looks just a good story

Perhaps there was a slight exaggeration, but I can attest to the fact he sent it out and had it less than two weeks later.

You wouldn't by chance call this a good story too, would you? (COA received 2.5 weeks after sending application)
Ilokag wrote:Hey all, here's my final update

Application sent 03/05/2011
Ukba received 04/05/2011
Coa received 20/05/2011
Apparently the UKBA is working a bit quicker than you had thought, imran. My COA for instance was issued 17 days after they received my packet.

Let's keep ill-informed opinions off these boards (where did you hear that paperwork wasn't allocated to case workers before 4 weeks anyway?) and stick to facts. It's more helpful to people who come here seeking accurate information.

May be that policy does not exist anymore thats why they removed it from UKBA website.

Yeaah, Berber, but at least now you can rest easy while waiting for your RC :) I hope we get them soon. I wish someone would shake up the UKBA and force them to have some transparency.

I requested a new COA and they "couldn't confirm" whether one would be issued or not. It's like they're willfully being unhelpful.

Sorry to hear that Berber. I don't like the sound of that, I just requested my passport back from HO should arrive next wk. I guess I shouldn't get my hopes up at all.

But, that being said, no one ever said it was a guarantee that it would speed it up. Apart from their caseworker guidance which says if there's no reason for further delay it should be issued before returning travel documents, obviously.

Considering as a married couple your rights are conferred automatically, once a caseworker has it in their hands for whatever reason (Return, issuing of COA, priority consideration) they should just send it for application of RC sticker straight away.... It's hardly rocket science!

Don't get me started again, we wonder why Brits have problems abroad, this could be one of the reasons.

Edit: If we were in the US I'm sure we could sue for emotional distress or something, cos this is causing no end of troubles for me.

It usually takes a month to arrive. The ones mentioned above are the exceptions so you should use the 1 month as a guide. Not the ones who were lucky to get a fast turnaround.

Welcome to the madhouse :)

After you sent your application, they must issue CoA certificat of application within 4 weeks maximum. if not you send them Fax to this number 01512131514 and from the day you sending the fax you should wait 10 working day if they still didn't send it to you call this number 01516725626.

good luck

Thanks Oman. I enjoy everything on here.. But i'm worried about processing time. why it's takes days to relpy ? There are many ways they can contact us. Once the application was in process we should know and our mind will be calm.

And how can you work with COA? How can you get NI why passport is with HO?
