travel document processing times?

has anyone applied for a travel document (certificate of travel) and could they tell me how long it took roughly. l applied for mine last week. 19/05/11------ thnks guys

i haven't made an application for myself..

Applications generally take at least 20 working days if not longer.

Certificate of Travel applications are more complicated so may take longer. What status do you have in the UK? Did you provide evidence of why you can't apply for a passport from your country of origin or has it been accepted that you are at risk from your government?

thnks mate, l submitted a letter from my embassy back home that said in order to give me a passport l need to go to immigration in my country cos l left using a fake passport becos l was scared in fact l was fleeing due to my involvement with the opposition. becos l was granted through legacy l also included documentation of my asylum claim to show that fear the authorities in my counrty. l hope its clear.

tis is for anyone who is following this, l have just received a letter from UKBA saying they received my application thats one week after l sent application .

Did anyone get their travel documents? How long did it take? I was going to apply for a convention document, but I have no idea how long it would take.

I just recently applied for a convention travel document after getting ILR. Any news on your one? Hoping that you have got yours by now.
