NEWS- GOOD OR BAD

Post by bluecole2 » Sat Oct 01, 2011 10:35 am

Hi guys

Really!! Mixed feelings at the moment.

Was supposed to report to ukba last week but forgot so I called them today to tell them i forgot and find out if i can report on monday before my next one end of October and was told I have been issued a rc on mid sept.

I'm happy though, but the problem is I sent my app with an additional special delivery envelope which means I should get it the next day of it being posted. It's 1st of October now and will anxiously run to the post office in the next hour to know what's-up.

sent app- 21/06/11
ukba received- 22/06/11
CoA issued- 13/07/11
Res. Card issued- 16/09/11 (still waiting to get it)

Thanks vndpag,
I was arrested in 2009 for immigration offence and was served papers and told to report weekly (it's like a bail condition).

Are you married to an EU citizen? When did you marry?

Yes Directive 2004/38/EC
I'm married, march 2011. May I ask you why?

I rang ukba today to ask why they had not sent my document. And was told they've got up to 6 months to issue a rc and the reporting centre gave me too many information they should had never given. The lady confirm my rc as been issued but won't tell me why they had not returned it to me.

So guys, what can I do? I'm worried they might lose it while hanging on to it. Also, have they got any right to hang on to an issue rc? Please guy advice. I'm thinking of writing to mp or requesting my documents back.

First of all relax. You are married and you know that they have issued a RC.

Are you still doing the reporting thing? Why?

Thanks for responding.

I'm worried they may lose it, and can't afford to go through the stress in my embassy again and wait a possible 6 months. I've also got to visit my wife's family in France at Christmas.

Regardless of whether or not it's issued, I planned to request our passports back by this months.

I don't seem to understand why they are hanging on to it. They're going to throw it about in their office or wherever they kept until it gets missing and can't be accounted for..

Thanks Directive/2004/38/EC. I'll try to enjoy travelling with it.

Sorry I missed your question earlier. I've answered it just before you ask.

I'm not longer reporting any more. I was told by them not to come again as my rc has been issued. Ukba later told me over the phone that the reporting centre gave me too much information.

Also thanks to everyone that's has contributed to my questions over the last couple of months. I hope I can use my experience to help new comers on the wonderful website.

Thanks guys, keep up the good work. Perhaps we should have a yearly party and to get to see and know every member.
