Tier 1 General Extention

Hi,
My Tier 1 extention is due in Feb next year. I am applying with my family within UK, So just wanted to ask that I need to maintain some funds in my account for 3 months. How much funds I need for each dependent and If I maintain those funds in my own account. Will that be fine or I have to open an account in my dependents name and maintain these funds in that account.
