Hi everyone,

as most of you might be aware of the fact that from 24th Oct any nikahnamas sibmitted from Pak need to be attestes by local union councils. mine was done in Islamabad where there is no union council, the body which issues nikahnamas in Islamabad is arbitration council. but they are not ready to attest the nikahnama as they are not aware of any such change in the rule by the embassy. is anyone els in this situation too?
i am going to submit my spouse visa application next week, the arbitration council has given me a letter with thier stamp on it stating the details of my nikahnama registeration but they just wont attest the actual nikahnama.

any help would be appreciated.

My sister in laws visa was granted today. Submited to Mirpur on 18 oct, unable to track application as it would not work however recieved phone call yesterday and picked up passport today. Visa stamped 9 Nov.

IT IS EVIDENT FROM PREVIOUS POSTS BY FELLOW MEMBERS THAT 18TH OCTOBER SEEMS TO BE LUCKY DAY IN TERMS OF QUICK RESPONSE AND VISA GRANTED. ESPECIALLY ISLAMABAD AND MIRPUR POSTS ARE VERY RESPONSIVE IN TERMS OF QUICK TIME ANSWER.PLEASE PREY FOR THOSE WHO GOT STUCK IN LAHORE.

Please don't be upset, the time frame is roughly about 12 weeks. You can hear anytime in this time span. Good Luck!

Im in the process of preparing papers for my Wife's case now but just wondering how much things for contact I have to show?

I can show my mobile phone calling the calling card number and have Skype logs. Just wondering if a few screenshots of skype logs is enough?

I think the poster means the new requirement for higher earnings that is being discussed.

However, I think that even if it does get through, then like the age requirement, it will be dropped. Its too discriminatory.

I would advise you to submit as much evidence as possible.. I submitted calling cards and that went against us. So I would say..

Skype
Emails
Letters
Greeting cards (KEEP ENVELOPES TO SHOW STAMPS)
Money Transfer receipts
Itemised billing
Photographs of wedding and AFTER like honeymoon pictures showing you together!
Anything you feel can prove this, just add it in! Better to be safe than sorry! I wish I would have been advised before I submitted mine. Sad I found this Immigration board after I submitted!

Good Luck! Also make dua for my hubby's visa, we have appealed!

Hi Guies, just got an update so thought to share with you all. my passport is ready for collection so going to pick up after 2 hours. Hope i get visa stick on it after call in letter received. Excited but little confused as well.

Dear new and old fellows; Today allhumduillah i got my passport with VISA stamp on it. It was a long wait and lot more patience but end of the day, reward is fruitful. I am very thankful to Allah and members like Shade86, Okara87, aakamir, Equisit33, XnailaX, Nazeema, ss27 and few others who support me in almost whole period. I am flying to UK with in next 2 weeks. Here's are my timeline:

Visa Applied on 14th April 2011
Interview took place on 26th May 2011
Visa refused on 30th June 2011
Refusal Notice received on 25th July 2011
Appeal Reached to Leicester on 17th August 2011
Decision withdraw By ECO on 24th October 2011
Re-submission of Passport after allowed appeal on 27th October 2011
Passport collected with VISA Stamp on it on 17th November 2011.

Finally, my travel ends for long awful wait. I wish all you guies all very best for their visas and those who are in appeal, stick to it and do not lose hope. Inshallah something will better comes up for you.

HI! IS THERE ANY MEMBER WHO APPLIED AT THE END OF SEPTEMBER /START OF OCTOBER AND STILL WAITING FOR RESPONSE FROM LAHORE UKVAC.THIS WAIT IS GETTING LONG AND DEFINITELY BORING.I DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TRYING TO GET OUT OF MY APPLICATION.
