I am giving honest advice, I don't think you should complete the form yourself. If you are not sure what the word dependant means then you really should get it completed by someone. Perhaps a relative or a friend who is more knowledgeable, if you can afford a solicitor that would be useful too.

A lot of thos questions are self explanatory.

Hi

In replyto the questions relating to the VAF4 Form by MundaUK:

This form is completed on behalf of applicant and therefore you only fill your details in the spouse/sponsor section.

8.2.1 Given name is ur first name and family name is your surname

7.7 - You only fill in section 7 if they are travellers under 18

Part 1-4 abour your partner- the applicant

8.2.10 - Write British National

8.4.5 - Put all those dates down

8.4.8 - put the village name and the date (make sure place of marriage is same as the one given on your nikah nama)

8.4.10 - Answer no if you are not related outside marriage

8.5.1 and 8.5 - Section 8 is for other dependents - cross this out as you are applying as a spouse and not other dependants - do not fill in

Hope this helps

I think 4.0 in ielts is the minimum score acceptable.

see http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... -tests.pdf

so yes she will have to retake the test and get 4.0 at least.

test should be taken in an approved center too.

Nobody seems to reply and help anymore....
does this letter need to be done with a solicter or can the landlord just write a letter himself
Landlord letters depend on your circumstance, whether your renting, living in a shared house, living with parents, living with relatives etc.

Let us all post any templates, i have this:

Letter from landlord
In order for someone to be granted a visitor visa for the UK they need to show that accommodation is available. If you intend for your visitor to stay with you, you must have appropriate accommodation. This accommodation must be large enough foryour visitor to live in with you comfortably. For advice on the appropriate number of
bedrooms/living space needed please contact IST.

If you are renting property you will need a letter from your landlord confirming the following:
• Who s/he is and what their relationship is to you (e.g. Landlord,
accommodation manager).
• The address of the property.
• How many bedrooms the property has and the number of reception rooms
(e.g. living room, dining room).
• That they are aware you wish to bring visitor to the UK and they will be
staying with you.
• That they are happy for your visitor to live with you in the property.
• That the property is for your exclusive use.

Below is an example of a landlord letter.

<Landlord’s personal or business address>
<Street>
<Town>
<Postcode>
<Date>

To the Entry Clearance Officer, British Embassy
Dear Sir/Madam
Re: Visitors of <sponser's name>

I, <landlord’s name> am the landlord/manager of the property <address of property> in which <sponser's name> is currently residing. This property has <number of bedrooms and reception rooms> rooms.
I have been informed that <sponser's name> has invited his/her spose to join him/her in the UK whilst s/he studies. I am happy for the visitor to be accommodated in the property named above and that the accommodation is suitable for a spose to reside in whilst in the UK. I confirm that the property is for the exclusive use of <sponser's name> and their spose.

Yours faithfully

Thanks for the reply XnailaX. Best of luck with your appeal by the way.

Does anyone know where to send any extra documentation to although I am aware they say they can't guarantee it will be linked with the application form in time?

What if you have ISA but you cannot withdraw for 6months to a year would that count?

Or What if I have fixed term deposit bond etc, what is the best option that would help application?

Hi all just wondering, when one appeals and is given a deadline.. for example we have been given a deadline of 4 and half months, roughly when could I expect to have decision over-turned? What is the average waiting time?

to equisit 33:

salaams its hard to answer- it varies so much i was given deadline of 22 dec 2011 after submitting appeal back in august and still i have not heard anything.

from others experiences some have it overturned within 3 months or hear back with court date others (few e.g on spreadsheet) have it overturned within a month of the deadline date. its a lottery just like the initial application.

wife applied 21/04/11
refused 6/7/11
appeal submitted 28/7/11
acknowledgement: 14/8/11 with 22 dec deadline for eco to respond.

Does sponsor also have to submit birth certificate?

Sponsorship Letter & Declaration does that have to be stamped by solicitor?

If I print for or 5 pictures on A4 paper in color will that e aright?

Which order should this be done please should TB test, or Biometrics or A1 test first.

No birth certificate is not required.

No but you need an attested copy of your passport.

Yes but it is advisable to use good quality photo paper.

A1 then TB, biometrics are done at the VAC on the day the applicant submits the paperwork.

I'd recommend you read batleykhan's post which has most of the info you need. The link is in his signature.

Hi everyone,

i'll be submitting my spouse visa app from islamabad next week, i was wondering if some one could answer couple of questuions for me;

1) my husband has recently started a new job (14.11.11) and keft his last job on 04.11.11. i will be submitting his 6 months payslips from his last job.
will that be ok? or we should wait till he gets his first payslip from his currant job.

2) secondly i"ll be submitting a tenancy agreement which starts from 01.02.2012 considering it can take upto 3months to get a visa therez no point him renting a place right now. wll that be ok or do we need to show a tenancy agreement which shows the accomodation has already been rented?

regards,

I have a question if on tenancy agreement it has special terms that applicant can live rent free do you still require landlord letter?

On my expense sheet I dont have much outgoing only few bills as parents pay all bills and have £8000 savings.

8.7.11 Does your sponsor receive income from any other >>> sources, including friends or family? I get some from parents would I need to show ammount and proof?

Part 9 what did you guys write?

Do you have to put cross in these, applicant has never been to UK
9.2
9.3
9.4

Parents are signatory to tenancy agreement I am not I'll be living free as stated in tenancy, can parents write confirmation of support and accommodation letter?
