It seems that you have already been given an answer to the exact same question here.

aadam don't get upset, the easy and quickest way is to arrange an appointment with NCS (after completing AN form), they will explain as what documents are required as part of your submissions. Generally there is no requirement for pay slips and bank statements.

From naturalisation application processing timelines, I can see UKBA have started dealing with November applications. I hope all those waiting like me will get good news soon. I am still biting my nails

I applied on 01/11/11 via NCS Bedford, the tracking service show it was received on 04/11/11. The payment was debited about 3 weeks later. Rang yesterday to chase progress - told them I didn't have a ref number as had not received any paperwork and they said my application was in final stages with case worker/ case person (can't remember exact wording) - am I to assume it won't be long now?

@Blackhole - Cherryplum applied before us but yet to get approval. I think the applications are treated on case by case basis so "patience" is the word. Our time will come.

Hi,

I have applied on the 09/09/2011 and still waiting for the approval
today I have called the home office and was told that a decision was made on my case but have to wait couple of weeks to recieve it.

so why I have to wait couple of weeks if the decision is already made ?
should be couple of days !!! :(

Hi
Any updates from all those waiting?
Finally, I have run out of "patience" :o :o . Just called UKBA and was informed they can only provide me a progress report of my application after six months are over   As I had made a postal application, I have requested my documents (passports/marriage cert etc.) back if they had scanned them into their system.
What a day   It’s exactly one year since we applied naturalization/registration for my spouse & kids which took "exactly 17 days for applications to be approved from the day we sent them (postal) to the day the approvals were delivered by Royal Mail special delivery" ....how times have changed

The UKBA customer service lady was polite and informed me it would take approx. 10 days to get my docs back (in the self-addressed special delivery envelope!!)..I just cross my fingers and hope they see my application is straight forward case and include my approval there...if not I keep waiting.. :( :( :(

I don't mind waiting but really annoyed to see that some already got approval where acknowledgements were issued after me. I am happy for people who got approvals but HO needs to have consistent policy in deciding cases

what number did you call?

I rang 0845 010 5200 which is on the acknowledgement letter, but all I heard is recordings. There is nobody answer the phone.

that s the number just choose option 2 then 2 again

then you are through talking to some one BUT

again from my experience with them as i called about 6 /7 times every one gives you different answer

also some people here reported that when they caleed they were told application still on the Q next day they received their approval

which give me a sense of that their staff have no idea of what they are talking about
