No PEO appointments at Croydon???

Post by LankanFunkin » Fri Mar 16, 2012 12:46 am

Guys, I am finding it ridiculously hard to find an available appointment in the next 8 weeks for a Tier 1 + dep -> SET(O) in-person application at the Croydon office. I have been monitoring the online booking site for a while now, and there is nothing available. My Tier 1 visa expires early May, and I have everything else in order (or so I think anyway!), but I just cant seem to get a PEO appointment.

Anyone else with the same issue? Does anyone know why this is, or better, a way around it? Besides trekking over to another (far away) office of course...

Thanks!

You have to grab the slot at mid night and 42 days in advance. There are very limited appointments.

What date you are looking to book your appointment ?

I think appointments are made available only 6 weeks in advance.

yes ... but they go as soon as they are released ... and the midnight logic in not correct ... I have monitored midnight activity on all the centers ... none get release around midnigt ... nobody knows when exactly they release the availability ...

Any time late April, as my Tier 1 expires early May 2.

Thanks Linkers... thats helpful to know. I'll try my luck on Sunday night to see if I can get an appointment in Croydon for April 30th.

sunil.suneel: mid night logic is 100% correct and I have myself proved it few times. The slots appear exactly 6 weeks (42 days) in advance.

If you look on Monday, 19 March 2012, (mid night when the date changes from 18th to 19th) you will see slots become available for Monday, 30 April 2012 which is exactly 42 days from 19th March.

I needed to book my appointment for 23rd April, and I booked it on Monday 12th March. When I checked on 11th March there wasn’t anything available, but on 12th March I saw slots for all PEOs in the country.

LankanFunkin: if you want an appointment for 30th April, you can book it on Monday, 19 March 2012 (at midnight when the date changes from 18th to 19th March).

Some times the UKBA’s system is down where you can’t do anything but generally it’s not that bad at mid night.

Last night I was checking at 00:00
But No luck at Croydon PEO

I saw that Birmigham has released 8-10 appntments but all gone in few seconds.

I kept checking till 00:15 - No luck for Croydon

It seems like they release croydon at some other time like early morning 4-5am

Really pathetic - Never exepcted with UKBA who likes things in organised way. They should accept all appointment requests as unconfimred and then triage and then confirm to requester if he is allocated or rescheduled. We pay thousands to them - they must improve customer service.
cheers

avtarjain1980: I had the similar experience. I wanted to book for Croydon, but the system wasn’t showing anything for it but there were loads of slots for other PEOs, so I booked for Solihull.

But next morning I checked again and the slots for Croydon were also available.

I have the same problem. My qualifying period starts from the 02/05/2012 to 29/05/2012 and I will be looking to book a date around the 02 - 10/05/2012. As Linkers has pointed out before, the earliest I can get a date is after the 23/03/2012. I will have to cyber squat to stand any chance of getting a slot.

kumar17: you might be able to apply 28 days before the 5th anniversary of your EC date (as long as you entered UK within 90 days).

I've gotten a Solihull back up plan as well... But I'd rather not do the trek out there at 7am!!!

the midnight thing does work, I was able to book an appointment at midnight and all the slots were gone by 12:10. All you need to is to press the button at exactly 00:00 hours. Good Luck.
BTW it was for Glasgow, but I reckon there is only one booking system and it cannot be different for Croydon

All the mid night advise was wrong as it does not work made me sick I have tried searching for it last night on dot 12:00am and till 1:00am I got a same message that due to a technical problem we cannot find any appointments and then at around 3:00am it was only 3 appointment in Croydon for Monday the 19th which is still available at 8am this morning.........

Is there any any other way of booking the appointment can we not phone them to get it book as this is really frustating.

Are you sure it needs to be midnight?

I have tried UKBA online appointment today. I've put 41days from today and I can see plenty of slots at Croydon and Solihull.

Can anyone tell me that should i have to login at 12:00 to get the desired time or should I select dates etc before 12:00 and click next as soon as its reaches to 12.

I am really worried that they dont have any appointments at croydon or Solihull in april which I really need.

Thanks for all your comments

Technical error has nothing to do with the midnight logic and this error can happen any time of the day.

thank you linkers. My qualifying period started on the 29/05/2007 the date my WP visa was approved, so 28days to qualifying period is from the 02/05/2012 which is 28days before. I was in the UK when it was approved. Is this correct?

Right, I have tried again today on dot at 12:00 and got the following constantly, "We do not have any appointments available for your preferred dates and locations.
Please change your preferred dates and location and search again. "

Is it my bad luck i think....... if any lucky one can take my login details anf get me an appointment
