ILR postal applications (excluding 10/14 yr.)

As you have waited for more than 6 months, you should get the update about your application by calling ho or email them, all these information can be obtained from this forum.

acknowledgement letter receive.13 march,2012
payment was taken= 14 march,2012
still waiting for any biometric appointment or any other letter.

please can anyone write here when i,ll receive it. i,ve two kids and im paying tax. can my wife call and converts it in extention type visa every certain time or cancel my application as we have big fight these days.

My MP received this e mail from UKBA today,

Our records indicate that the application has now been granted and that Mr Ergen’s passport was sent to his legal representative on 27th March.

I have talk to my solisiter and nothing has been received yet.And then i have called to help line they said its at the final stage but not been posted yet..Got back to my MP told them to situation and asked them to find out why they told him it has been posted...Somebody liying but i dont know who???
Anyway just wanted to share the story by the way my applications is not straightforward...

There seems to be a discrepancy between the dates on the visas and the return of passports. It appears to be around two weeks. I have to say I suspect fiddling of the figures to make the processing times appear shorter.
I suspect the UKBA is in such a state of near collapse that they are playing with the figures.
Most visas are being dated two weeks before the applicant receives the passports. It seems to be consistent and in a commercial situation my immediate reaction would be that someone is fiddling the books!
I would almost guarantee the passport will arrive two weeks after the date of ILR being granted.
This is new and has come out of the blue and I suspect someone has thought up this 'wheeze' as a way of 'fiddling while Rome burns'!!!

It's actually as much as 3-4 weeks..if you look at the latest person to receive their ILR (girtbysea)the passport has arrived a month after the date of the ILR stamp. I agree that this seems like an attempt to fudge figures and indicate that targets have been met. The UKBA is in an absolute mess..as is being pointed out nearly every day on the news.

Hi all, I discovered this forum too late for myself, but am posting my experience:

Applied ILR 3/11/11 FLR(O) for myself and family . Confirmation letter received a week later.

Received passports back today 13/04/12 - almost exactly 20 weeks later, stamped 19/03/12 ( just under a month ago?)

I had a very straightforward application. When I applied by post I foolishly thought it would take two or three months because of this. Since then I discovered this thread, and have also had to reschedule easter holidays and flights at some considerable expense; far outweighing the cost of a appointment in person.

So it seems if you cannot get, or afford, an appointment in person; then be prepared to wait 5-6 months for your ILR.

well I've contacted my MP and she has just written back to me saying that my application has been assigned to a case working team but that it is waiting to be assigned to a caseworker and that unless I have very compelling reasons to request expediation, any further "interference" from her may further delay my decision. Is that a veiled threat? All I asked was for her to see where my application was in the process ... oh wells ...

Total turnaround from send to receive - 18 weeks and 1 day

Once again my passport was stamped 4 weeks ago (starting to see a pattern) the passport was stamped 2 days before I sent my email and letter to HO and before I asked my MP to wade in. Does make you wonder on the validity of the date stamp.

I had actually given up as I had big travel plans for Easter (Lucky I did not commit to fares and hotels) and on the off chance I was working from home today I heard the door knock and knew immediately what it could be. It is truly a fantastic feeling and a huge relief and I hope you will all feel it soon!

Anyone volunteering to continue with the list..possibly someone who has applied in January 2012 so that they can maintain it for some time? I would volunteer but I applied in October and hope to have our passports back any day now.

I'm not sure regarding the threat. I read somewhere here on this forum, that an applicant was advised by a solicitor not to get the MP involved, as this may delay the application. I however contacted mine, because we had a valid reason to expedite the case, and I felt that I need to sth about this. Even so, 5 full months of waiting!

Anyone volunteering to continue with the list..possibly someone who has applied in January 2012 so that they can maintain it for some time? I would volunteer but I applied in October and hope to have our passports back any day now.
