Ok so some good news (i hope) from me!

In the past 4 days I have sent the Border control a letter with a self addressed envelope asking for them to please hurry up or atleast give me permission to work until I get my RC. I have also sent a new email every day asking for them to pass it on to my case manager. I also called them but got cut off after 15 minutes (which i stated in my email also).

Today, I have received an email back from them saying:

Hi

Your case has been processed and you should receive your documents in the next 10 working days.

Thanks

Euro

Soooooooooo fingers crossed it's my RC and I havn't been declined. :) Fingers crossed for everyone else also!!!!

06/01/12 - EEA1&EEA2 Applications sent (Unmarried partners)
09/01/12- HO received applications
16/02/12- COA received dated 30/01/12
16/02/12 - EEA1 received
08/06/12 - Received email stating my documents should be here in the next 10 working days

Nope, when i went through border control the other day I was told my COA doesn't give me the right to work. On the COA it states 'We cannot confirm you have the right to work'. I am on a Working Holiday Visa which runs out at the end of June. So I can work until then. God i hope its my RC!!!

I am waiting too... it is indeed a pain!!!
My application is pretty straight forward too and as far as I know, I don't have any criminal history whatsoever.

Guys in my own Opinion if one take very close look at those luck it's normally fall to NON-visa nationals Coz it's a bit easier and straightforward when it comes to that, So one shouldn't be too Surprise thats just my opinion.

Yes I def agree with you. It isnt as surprising they SHOULD get it done within 3 months, the home office is using the 6 months rule as an excuse to take as long as they can

For people who requested their passports back and received their RC on an A4 paper, did you have to sign for the package? and did it come via royal mail?

I ask as I am not home for most of the morning so can only collect on Saturdays.

I am tempted to get the package delivered to my local offie as I know the guy very well

I know this is the EEA2 thread, but timelines are the same for both so.

I have another client's case here.

EEA4 based on retention of rights, straightforward application with all relevant docs provided

Application sent: 24/12/2012
COA received: 15/01/2012
Passport requested: 30/03/2012
Passport received (without PR): 04/04/2012
PR received: 11/06/2012
PR dated: 25/05/2012

PR issued on A4 paper.

it wasn't me. But long story short. When he requested his passport back, which they returned in his 1st pre-paid special del envelope, he re-sent another special delivery envelope which they didn't use.

They used 2nd class Royal Mail Recorded Service, for which one must normally sign. I advised him to chase up UKBA to return his special del envelope but it's the least of his worries now.

My advice to everyone as before, wait patiently until it's been 6 months and then bombard them with calls, emails, faxes, contact your MP and don't give up, do that every day until they say that they will attend to it.
