Congra Chipmunk, It will not be long now. Sometimes I wish HO would use next day delivery. Lol

I can foresee a long wait for me :(
Don't lose hope Manoj, You applied around the same time as I did with similar HO history too, so let's hope your letter is on it's way.

Congratulations girl power.

I just wish mine would come as well. I check the mail all the time and nothing...

I've given up on mine for now. I no longer get excited for the mail man.

Hi guys. It has been quiet over here of late. I hope you are all doing well.
Just to say congra to those who have got their approvals and to those still waiting, please do not give up as your brown envelopes are on the way.
Those who have had their approvals, please keep us updated with the rest of your journey i.e. How the ceremony was like? When you applied for your passport and the time line and lastly please let us continue supporting each other here.
Thank you.

Do not worry. They send in 2nd class as they cannot afford more as you paid mere £800+

A lot of people mentioned it would take 10 upto working days from the date of approval.

I think the club needs to be updated. Loads of people have been approved but a few members still are hanging around in the lurch. I'll start with myself.

Updated Feb Club

Sorry to hear that you are still waiting as this is a long wait even by home office standard, seeing as they made the decision on the 1st really. I am surprised you are still sane. At one point my family were complaining that my mood changes every time the mail arrives and I swear I was even tempted to scream at the poor mail man. Lol.
Why don't you contact the council, you put down as they might have the certificates already. I know by the time I rang mine they said that they had had it for a few days and all they asked was my name and address really. You can then book your ceremony while waiting for home office letter unless you want a private ceremony. You can also try contacting home office again and let them know that you were informed that a decision was made on the 1st and you will hear from them in a few days but you have not heard anything and you are now worried about your mail. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

ceremony

Post by bebe2011 » Wed Jun 13, 2012 6:04 am

Just a quick update on how the ceremony went......perfect......i went for the group one as the council was going to charge £140 for a private ceremony held on friday or £105 for a private ceremony held mon-thurs! as soon as we had sang the anthem and the lady said congratulations, i breathed a big sigh of relef! less than an hour later, i was at the post office sending my docs through sd! now the wait begins.....hopefully not too long!

i also know how frustrating it can be waiting for the decision......hmmmmm......i went through it by occupying myself with other things.....infact i tried to blank it out and most of the time it worked.....infact the day i received the brown envelope was the day i least expected it......

cheer up.....all will be well......

Thank you for your support. I'm sure I'll get my letter soon. I decided to wait this week. If I still don't get anything then I call HO again.

Thank you Bebe for the update. Hopefully the passport wait will not be that long as majority of people seem to get their first passports in about a month. I hope the summer holidays do not cause delays as I can imagine the increase in applications just before the holidays.
I am having a group ceremony too next week and have been debating about sending my application for passport on the same day too as all the dates will be the same. I think I will go with the completed forms and documents and see if i will have enough time to photocopy the certificate before sending it. My ceremony is in the afternoon that is the problem.
Best of luck with the last bit of dealing with home office.
