My landlord has just rung me yesterday saying that he is selling the flat. I am annoyed and he wants me to move out in 2 months. What shall I do? I called UKBA and as expected, no one picks up the call. The automatic services asked me to write an email. I wrote and am now patiently waiting for a reply.
Relax...the approval will come in a matter of days...
Start looking for a new place to live as that is very important now.
As soon as you find a new place, setup a re-direction of your mails at the post office to the new address...
My gut feeling is that you will receive shortly...Good luck and stay blessed!

Thanks. I am just wondering how come mine take so long. I grew up in a British Colony and held British National Overseas passport. All my friends got theirs in a month or two max. I am wondering if it's because I got married in February and changed my title from Miss to Mrs (I am not dependent on my husband for visa and he got his british many many years ago).

Congratulations khan2133

I received the letter dated 1st June as well. My letter states that my application has been successful and I will receive the invitation letter soon OR contact UKBA if don't receive the invitation letter with in 2 weeks. In letter they said don't contact council yet!

Have you received the same kind of letter or is something different?

I have contacted council and they didn't receive my certificate yet ....?

I am not sure who will write invitation letter? UKBA or council.

Thanks
Kam348

An update here that I received 2 letters, 1 from Home Office and other from my local council. Home office said that ring your local council to book your ceremony but council letter already arranged my ceremony for 17/07/2012. It says u dont have to contact us (as stated in Home Office letter) because it is already booked for u. So thats new from my side. Thanks for your wishes VK1979 and Kam. Your letters must be in the post. Best of luck everyone...

Thanks Khan sahib

I think they just wrote me a letter which they don't write to everyone and now I will receive the one you actually receive with council details etc.

Goodluck with your ceremony and passport application.

Best wishes
Kam

Well well well today I received what I thought to be my approval letter only to find out that the home office decided to sent my passports back for my convenience with a letter saying that they still processing my application but I suppose they don't need the travel documents anymore, has anyone had the same experience before?

They are probably running out of space with all the applications piling up. :-) Processing seems to have slowed down a lot compared to last year.

Crazydude at least you received a letter , i'm still waiting bud ! and me and you we did sent our applications almost the same day.. maybe a day difference .

As for your case i would say your case worker in holiday or they are short of staff again. Patience is the key to success...
