Registering as a Director within 6 months

Post by seasky » Sun Jun 17, 2012 3:52 pm

I am approaching 6 months. Can I just setup a UK company (can be done online for 30£) and register myself as a director to fulfill this requirement?

Yes, but do you actually have a business in mind?

I have already invested over 200K£ in business 'A' but for certain reasons I do not wish to be a director there and need a business 'B' to register in. Can 'B' be a dormant company?

If you want to get ILR at the end, you better be straightforward.

I don't understand your meaning :?

I received visa, invested £200K (much more) in the business in less than 6 months. I cannot register in that same business as a director.

Aren't you supposed to be director at the business where you invested?

I did not check rules recently but it looks strange: Invest in one place and be director in another place - does not look logical for this type of visa.

I agree it is not logical but I see nothing in the rules of the Visa extension (I did check the rules but I am not a lawyer) that demand it be the same company. I am asking the forum if there is experience in this matter.
